OCTOBER 20, 1932 - JULY 17, 2020 (87 Years Old) - LIFE MEMBER Charles Irvin Kennedy, age 87, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. He was born on October 20, 1932 in Heflin, Alabama to the late Charles A. Kennedy and Pearl Edwards Kennedy. Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his older brother and older sister. He is survived by children, David Kennedy and his wife Angela, Gary Kennedy and his wife Linda; grandchildren, Alex Kennedy and his wife Andrea and Grant Kennedy. The memorial service celebrating the life Charles lived is Monday, July 20, 2020 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan. Charles will be buried at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, AL. Charles served his country in the Untied States Army from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1954. Jesse Couch "Jake" Howard

JUNE 21, 1946 - JANUARY 15, 2020 (73 Years Old) - LIFE MEMBER Jesse Couch Howard was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 21, 1946. He was one of three children born to the late Jesse Couch Howard, Sr. and Ethlyn Lanette Mitchell Howard. Since having two guys in the same family with the same name could be confusing, the younger one came to be known as “Jake”.  Jake would serve in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970 during the Vietnam War. In 1987 Jake and his wife Eveann made the decision to move their family to Newnan from Jacksonville, Florida. Jake had an affinity for anything mechanical and loved the challenge of “fixing any and everything”. This meshed seamlessly with his career choice and he was employed as an electronics technician for Video Jet.  Jake was not a one-dimensional person by any means. JULY 13, 1922 - JULY 31, 2011 (89 Years Old) - LIFE MEMBER Mr. Coleman Gary Yarbrough, age 89 of Sharpsburg, died at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on July 31, 2011. He was born in Franklin, Georgia on July 13, 1922 to the late Olin Yarbrough and Belle Faver Yarbrough. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired as a security guard at the William L. Bonnel Company.  Mr. Yarbrough was a member of the Unity Baptist Church, the O'Dell Sunday School class, and VFW Post 2667.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Bunn Yarbrough, and a brother James Yarbrough. AUGUST 21, 1937 - MAY 23, 2007 (69 Years Old) - CONTINUOUS MEMBER Mr. Eugene Carroll, age 69, of Iron City, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at his residence.  Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 27, at 3:00 p.m. at Evans-Skipper Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Zack Worsham and Rev. Roy Carroll officiating.  Mr. Carroll was born in Seminole County on August 21, 1937, to Hansel E. Carroll and Annie Cox Carroll. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the US Air Force. After returning to Iron City he was a farmer.  He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Hansel E.
