OCTOBER 20, 1932 - JULY 17, 2020 (87 Years Old) - LIFE MEMBER Charles Irvin Kennedy, age 87, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. He was born on October 20, 1932 in Heflin, Alabama to the late Charles A. Kennedy and Pearl Edwards Kennedy. Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his older brother and older sister. He is survived by children, David Kennedy and his wife Angela, Gary Kennedy and his wife Linda; grandchildren, Alex Kennedy and his wife Andrea and Grant Kennedy. The memorial service celebrating the life Charles lived is Monday, July 20, 2020 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan. Charles will be buried at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, AL. Charles served his country in the Untied States Army from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1954. Charles was a veteran of the Korean War. In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial contributions be made in Charles name
